We're a family business doing electrical, solar and security work on the Bass Coast, since 2009. Every job is done by our own team, we don't sub out and we're not going to.

We're after an A-grade electrician to run jobs on their own.

What the job is

You rock up to someone's house, meet the customer, talk through what works are going to be done and get the job done in an efficient manner. Leaving the work site cleaner than how you found it. The job could be a switchboard upgrade, a hot water service upgrade, a rough in or finding a fault in a shop.

You'll run your own day. Nobody's behind you telling you what to do, what to say to the customer, or checking your work before the wall goes back on. It's why we'd rather wait for the right person rather than grab the first one going.

Part of the job is speaking up

If you're in a house and the smoke alarms are ten years old, or there's no safety switch on the circuits, we expect you to speak up and let the customer know. Half our work comes from people we've been straight with. We don't pressure or do ‘salesy’ tactics, we simply communicate what the issue is and how it would benefit the customer.

Who we're after

  • A-grade licence, and enough time on the tools to back your own judgement

  • Someone who’s confident and can clearly communicate

  • Good in people's homes, drop sheets down, boots sorted, cleaned up before you go

  • Rings the customer when the job changes. No shocks on the invoice.

  • Will tell someone something's not safe. Including us.

  • Happy to spend time with our apprentice.

  • Keen to learn the solar, battery, camera and networking side if you haven't done it. We'll train you and pay for it.

Who it won't suit

  • Anyone who's ever finished a job and said nobody will ever see that..

  • Paperwork annoys you. Certificates of Electrical Safety, job notes, photos before you close the wall. It's not optional and nobody chases you for it twice.

  • Anyone who needs to be told what to do all day. You'll get plenty of backup, but the job's yours to run.

  • Work vehicle set up properly, tools, uniform, phone allowance.

  • Paid training in solar, batteries, security. 

  • Mostly Local work. Home for dinner.

  • A small crew where the work's got your name on it and someone notices

The area

Cowes, San Remo, Grantville, Bass, Kilcunda, Wonthaggi, Inverloch+ the occasional trip to the South Eastern Suburbs.. If you're already down here you know why nobody leaves. We'll give you a ring for ten minutes, and if it sounds right we'll get you out on a job with us for a paid day so you can have a look at us and we can have a look at you.
